The latest of the new breed of multipurpose disc brake wheels suitable for road, cyclocross and light touring.  28/28 spokes.

Rims are 25mm wide and 28mm deep Velocity Aileron made from aluminium alloy. Disc brakes only. Suitable for tyre sizes between 23mm and 55mm. 6.5mm valve hole suitable for Presta valve tubes. 

These are true multi-purpose rims. The can be used with road, cyclocross, commuter/touring and even 29er MTB tyres, either tubeless or with inner tubes. Tyre pressures up to 120psi with tubed road tyres and down to 25psi with MTB tubeless tyres. Suitable for riders up to 100kg with the steel axle option.

Hubs are Novatec D791SB and D792SB in black. Road/MTB bike standard 100mm wide front hub and disc brake standard 135mm wide rear hub. Suitable for Shimano11 speed cassettes and 8,9 and 10 speed cassettes with the supplied spacer. XDR and Campag freehubs available. High quality sealed cartridge bearings which can be changed when worn with simple tools.

Choice of QR, 9mm, 12mm or 15mm front end caps and QR, 10x135 or 12x142 rear axles

Novatec centrelock hubs can be substituted at the same cost - 35g lighter.

The spokes are high quality Belgian made silver Sapim Race double butted. Double butted spokes are both lighter and stronger than standard plain gauge spokes. Made from 100% stainless steel and fastened with brass nipples. 

The wheels are built using a 2x pattern on both wheels as this is the best compromise for strength without excess weight.

Total wheelset weight with Sapim Race spokes and brass nipples is around 1740g. The set shown in the photos have D-Light spokes/alloy nipples and weighed 1652g

Sapim CX Ray bladed aero spokes with silver alloy nipples (saves 120g) +£100 silver or £120 black.

Please note: The wheels shown in the photos have the optional black D-Light spokes and black alloy spoke nipples.

All our wheels are handbuilt to the same high standards. The wheels are trued to within +or- 0.2mm and spokes uniformly tensioned to within 5% a side.
