AVIATORs are leather pilot’s watch straps with an open-ended design that closes with stainless steel screw fittings at each end. An AVIATOR band can be used with fixed lug watches or with spring bars. This auction is for one leather band with a smooth finish leather with 20mm wide ends. AVIATORS are thick, high-quality, British-made straps. This strap was handcrafted in England, but ships to you quickly from the USA. This band is fully stitched for lasting durability. The strap has two sandwiched layers of high-quality leather. The heavy buckle is solid stainless steel. This AVIATOR measures 8 1/4 inches (21cm) long when placed end to end, not counting the buckle, with the ends closed. The metric measurements of the two pieces is 122/88. They are 6mm thick where the band meets the watch and 4.5mm thick at the tail end. Buckle end width is 20mm in case you have a signed buckle for this band. These straps are a great period-looking option for fixed-lug military watches and they work equally well on modern watches with spring-bar lugs.
