"USC vs UCLA-The Best Little Rivalry in Town" by Jody Brown - 1st EDITION Softcover (6" x 9") - Published in 1982 by Leisure Press - 352 pages (with many great black & white photos) - very good condition. Without a doubt, USC-UCLA is the biggest football rivalry west of the Mississippi. The first game was in 1929 and has been a highlight of the conference season ever since. Some great players have played for these two college football grats: Jackie Robinson, Bob Waterfield, O.J. Simpson, Frank Gifford, Ricky Bell, Gary Beban, Doyle Nave, Charles White, Marcus Allen, Troy Aikman, the McKeever brothers, Lynn Swann, Duke Morrison (John Wayne), Woody Strode, Sam "Bam" Cunningham, Jon Arnett; the list goes on and on. Think about the great coaches at the two schools: Howard Jones, Red Sanders, John McKay, Terry Donahue, John Robinson, etc. Think about all the great players who have attended these great schools since. Mindboggling!! There is some minor corner wear, a light 1-1/4" crease on the top corner of the cover and a spot near the corner of the front cover where a price tag was obvioulsy removed taking a small 1/4" x 1/4" spot off the surface of the cover. These flaws are not visible in the generic scan, and overall, this book is still in very collectible condition. condition.
