PREMIUM ACACIA HARDWOOD

Each hardwood slat is produced from solid Acacia which is sourced from plantation forests. Hardwood is superior to poor quality softwood which many other decking tiles are manufactured from. All tiles are sealed & oiled with a medium brown stain, have a beautiful finish ready and to use straight away.

·         Each Hardwood tile are made up of 6 durable Acacia slats, secured onto a plastic base which then connects together like a jigsaw

·         Our Hardwood Straight Edges and Corner Edges provide a tidy finish and reduce the decking area down. They are only required for exposed sides

·         All Acacia slats are suspended on a 1cm thick plastic base which allows water to drain under the tiles and air to circulate

Each decking tile is 30cm x 30cm x 2.5cm square. Click-Deck is essentially a jigsaw and our decking tiles connect using a male / female interlocking system.

You can lay the deck tiles in a linear system, or the chequered design and other designs in between.

Decking tiles are slightly flexible so can give / take slight unevenness but for best results the ground should be solid.

GREAT DRAINAGE SYSTEM

If you flip a tile upside down, the hardwood slats are secured to a square plastic base.

The plastic base has around 50 small ‘feet’ which makes each tile grip well to the surface beneath.

The hardwood slats are raised 1cm off the floor on the plastic base.

Rain water falls between the slats and gathers under the tiles, air circulates to drain water away, so tiles are never sat in water.

WHAT IS ACACIA HARDWOOD?

Acacia wood is a type of wood that is derived from the Australian-native Acacia trees and shrubs, which are now also found in Asia, the Pacific Islands, Africa and parts of the Americas. There are more than a thousand different varieties of Acacia tree. The hardwood that is derived from the tree is suitable for building long-lasting items of furniture and homewares.

WHAT ARE ITS PROPERTIES AND QUALITIES?

Here at CLICK-DECK, we opt to use Acacia wood because it is both highly durable and water-resistant. It is a lovely brown colour with an attractive natural grain, giving a warm, rich touch to any area it is being used for. Acacia’s durability means it isn’t scratched easily, too, while its water-resistant properties means it won’t warp readily and is highly resistant to fungus. Like many types of wood, acacia is naturally antibacterial.
