I stayed away from printing on rice/wafer sheets for years as I was never happy with the quality they produced, but I feel I have at last found some wafer paper worth using, that I am happy to use myself and pass on to others. The premium wafer paper sheets I use produce the best print quality on wafer that I have seen. The printed side of the paper is smooth unlike textured classic wafer/rice paper. My cupcake toppers can be laid flat or will support there own weight so can be angled on swirls of butter cream, on stuck standing up in the top.

My wafer cupcake toppers are made from sheets of 0.35mm thickness edible wafer paper, printed with edible food colouring inks. Wafer sheets and edible food colouring inks are fully edible, have been approved as safe for human consumption and are IFS & BRC food safety standard certificated.

These cupcake toppers are NOT personalised and are printed just as they are shown in the pictures, I do have a handful of personalised wafer cupcake designs for sale, please see my other listings for these as they are a slightly different price.

My wafer cupcake toppers are offered precut ready to use or uncut for a slightly reduced price. If you choose the uncut option you will need to cut these out before use with a clean dry pair of scissors.

Please be advised that the print quality on wafer toppers is still not quite as vibrant as icing toppers as the sheets are slightly translucent, but they can be easier to work with than icing toppers as there is no backing sheet to be removed. The print is not faded. As they are a little bit transparent the colours will look at their best on a white/light background.

Wafer toppers are great on a budget and are easier for children to use themselves if they are helping with the baking.

The photos on the listing show the actual product so you can see the print quality before you buy. (colour shades and intensities may still vary slightly from differences in computer screen monitor display colours so please allow for this).

Wafer toppers will last longest when applied to dry roll out icing, but can also be used with wetter icing types such as butter cream. They are sensitive to moisture and may begin to curl if the icing is too wet, so please wait for it to dry sufficiently and for a 'crust' to form on the buttercream before applying.

The wafer paper itself is not sticky so dry icing should be very lightly brushed or steamed with water to make the surface tacky. Do not over wet though or the toppers will begin to curl and dissovle. A small amount of confectioners glue could also be used to hold them in place.

I use them myself most frequently on butter cream and would advise sticking the toppers on just before the party so that they are looking at their optimum for your guests. Having said that, they can last very well in good conditions (kept away from heat and humidity). Cakes I've had left over after 2 or 3 days can still be looking as fresh as when I first stuck them on.

 They last longest in cool dry conditions. Moisture and humidity will effect the appearance of the toppers so once placed on cakes they should be stored only in breathable cake boxes (no airtight boxes or tins), and never store in the fridge.

 My wafer sheets have a shelf life of a year so can be ordered a long time in advance if kept in their packaging and stored out of the sunlight. No need to wait until the last minute to order, get them early for piece of mind.

The free postage option offered is for 2nd class postage. It is not unusual for items posted 2nd class to take up to a week to be delivered so if you are working to a deadline a 1st class postage option is available at checkout and will be faster. To avoid disappointment though, even if selecting first class postage please order at least 7 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) in advance of when you need them in case of any unforeseen circumstances or postal delays.

2nd class postage is free no matter how many sets of wafer cupcake toppers ordered. If opting for the 1st class option postage is charged only for the first set, so any other sets of wafer toppers (no matter the design) ordered at the same time are postage free. To take advantage of this multiple sets must be ordered in a single transaction so please add all sets required to your ebay basket before proceeding to payment.
