It is re-enforced with a metal plate within the rubber part of the coupling.
It has a re-enforced metal insert inserted in both pieces of plastic.
This is the strongest drive coupling we have come across yet.
Replacement for most Whirlpool / Kenmore Washers produced after 1982 with a direct drive system (no belt).
Also fits Kenmore, Kitchen-Aid, Roper and Estate Brands.
