Up for sale is one of numerous maps that came from F.W. Putzger’s Historical School Atlas of Ancient, Mediaeval and Modern History, copyright 1903.  This atlas is completely in GERMAN, not English, although the editors added English translation for each map in a separate section of the book.  Because of that, I’m able to identify each map accurately in the eBay listing.  Most of these maps contain inset maps and/or maps on the back of the primary map. Also there is a more extensive description of the content of each map than just the title of the map. It is too long to include in the eBay listing , so I will provide a photocopy of the complete translation of these detailed descriptions to all buyers of these maps in either German or English, or both if you wish.  These maps are great teaching tools!

I have removed all of the maps from the hardbound atlas since the spine was completely torn out, making it easy to take them out without damaging them. All of the maps are in very good to excellent condition, with great color and detail. Any defects will be noted below. All of the primary maps  measure about 10 x 13”, and have been folded. Shipping to Germany and Austria is about US$4.50, depending on how many maps you might buy. Please ask for a shipping cost quote before buying any of these maps if you’re outside of the United States.

The maps are under two general headings in the index: I. For the History of Antiquity, with maps of places going back to 500 B.C.; and II. For Mediaeval and Modern History, with maps of places from 476 to the 1800’s. Remember these maps were printed and copyrighted in the atlas in 1903, not the earlier dates shown on the map.

The map in this eBay listing shows European Provinces of the Roman Empire, Western and Central Europe; the Rhine Lands; and Lands of the Lower Danube. One inset map shows Gaul in Caesar's Time.  Very good condition.
