This is a wonderful set of MacBeth-Evans Depression era plates and cups. The monax glass used for this set is titled American Sweetheart, and dates back as far as 1930. It is ultra thin and beautifully opalescent in appearance with a floral and scroll pattern in the glass. There are 43 pieces available which break down as follows: 5ct 10 and a 1/2 in dinner plates, 4ct 9 in luncheon plates, 4ct 8 in dessert plates, 6ct small side dishes, 5ct 5 and 3/4 in dessert bowls, 7ct cups, 10ct saucers, 1 cream pitcher and 1 sugar bowl. These are stunning pieces which were emmensely popular during the 1930s, after they were initially introduced. As you can see in the detailed photos, they set a gorgeous table, and will make any occasion seem even more special. All the pieces present in excellent condition, free of any flaws or defects. The total weight of al the pieces is 20 and a 1/2 pounds and will most definitely ship in 2 separate boxes.
