Il sistema filtrante CDA è costitutito da un airbox di forma cilindrica in vera fibra di carbonio che contiene un elemento filtrante lavabile e rigenerabile.
La scelta del materiale composito è dovuta al fatto che il carbonio ha una bassa conducibilità termica che permette di isolare dal calore del motore
il filtro e l'aria aspirata. Sostituendo la scatola filtro originale con il CDA, l'aria fresca viene così convogliata direttamente nel filtro all'interno
dell'airbox in carbonio e aspirata dal motore attraverso un deviatore di flusso con una perdita di carico minima
Il sistema filtrante in carbonio CDA è collegato ad una presa d'aria frontale tramite un tubo in alluminio flessibile. Grazie alla presa d'aria dinamica, si ottiene un vero e proprio sistema di sovralimentazione che consente di convogliare aria fresca nell'airbox a velocità e portata nettamente
superiori rispetto ai sistemi tradizionali. Il flusso d'aria entrante dalla presa dinamica viene ulteriormente accelerato grazie al deviatore di flusso
conico all'interno dell'airbox in fibra di carbonio. Sovralimentazione dinamica, pressione più elevata e temperatura dell'aria più fresca, sono gli
elementi che garantiscono un cospicuo aumento delle prestazioni del motore in termini di potenza e di coppia.
The CDA filtering system is composed of a cylindrical carbon fibre airbox containing a washable filtering element. The choice of this composite
material is due to the fact that carbon has low thermal conductivity allowing insulation from the engine heat to the aspirated air. Replacing the
original airbox with the CDA, fresh air is channelled directly to the filter, thermally insulated inside the carbon airbox and then conveyed to the
engine through an air flow deflector with minimum loss of power
The CDA filtration system is connected to a frontal air intake via a flexible aluminum tube. Thanks to the dynamic air intake you get a real supercharging system that conveys fresh air to the air box at a speed and capacity greater than that of traditional systems.
The air flow entering the dynamic air intake is accelerated further thanks to the air flow deflector inside the carbon fibre airbox.
Dynamic over-boosting, greater air flow, higher pressure and colder air are the elements which help to significantly increase the performance
of the engine both in terms of power and torque
