Purple electric hood adaptor cable for MultiECUScan software ('Adapter 4')

This is a special break-out adaptor cable specifically designed for use with the MultiECUScan software package, to offer additional systems coverage on some vehicles.

Currently this adaptor supports the electric hood systems on some vehicles, but there are also pin mappings in place designed to support additional control modules which may be added to the software in future.

Using this adaptor cable removes the need to modify your own interface cables with soldered connections that may prevent them from being used with other vehicles.

What is included in the package?

  • 'Purple' adaptor lead (MultiECUScan 'Adapter 4') - to allow electric hood.
    This lead has a purple connector on one end for easy identification.
    - Pin 7 on the diagnostic tool end of the adaptor is electrically connected to pins 7, 8, 11 & 13 on the car end of the adaptor.
    (Pins 4, 5 & 16 are connected straight-through to offer +12v supply and ground).

  • Please note this bundle does NOT include any diagnostic interface cables - this is just the 'Adapter 4' break-out adaptor.

What do I need to use this adaptor?

- MultiECUScan software (free or licensed version)
- KKL (VAG-COM) diagnostic interface. (ELM327 v1.3+ may also be required for future coverage)
- A laptop or PC running Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 with a USB port
- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 SP1 or higher (v3.5 required for Windows 8).
Free to download from www.microsoft.com if not already installed on your computer
- 1.5GHz CPU or higher

IMPORTANT NOTE: This adaptor cable is only intended for use with the MultiECUScan software, on supported Fiat group vehicles, as listed on the MultiECUScan.net Supported Vehicles List.
Use on other vehicles or with other software is not supported and may cause damage to your vehicle or equipment.

Returns
If you have a problem with your item, please contact us... the products are rarely faulty and many issues can be resolved quickly and easily. If you wish to return an item, please contact us by email first.

If we have stated that this tool will work with your car, either on the ebay auction page or via email contact, and we are proved to be wrong, then we will accept the item returned for a full refund within 7 days of receipt.

Unwanted goods can be returned within 30 days of receipt provided that they are returned 'as new' (i.e. unopened and undamaged).
The customer must pay for safe carriage of the item back to us.

Any product returned to us must be returned with all associated items originally sent as part of the product and in the same packaging, unless otherwise agreed with Gendan Ltd.
