Brand new fuel tank for 1972 through 1979 MG Midgets. Comes with new Uprated Sending unit unit with the lock ring and seal and donut gasket for the filler neck. Fuel tank has a capacity of 7 gallons and comes with lock ring. Made with corrosion resistant O.E.M. approved Ni Terne steel and are tested for leaks after assembly. Please note that these tanks will have been shipped over 3000 miles before you get them so the mounting tabs and sometimes the filler neck lip might be superficially bent and may require minor straightening.
Sending Unit: This is an uprated Fuel Tank Sending unit for a MG Midget 1972 to 1979. The modern design is made from a Acetyl (Acetal) Copolymer which is the highest grade of fuel resistant plastic. Same with the float, not only it is designed resist all gasoline and methanol fuels, the design also gives the the most accurate reading. As for the electronics are made from a on modern ceramic tile with palladium silver conductor pattern that come into contact with the wiper arm contact made from phosphor bronze. All of this means long life and accurate measurement. No more worrying about a sinking float or if your really have that much fuel left in your tank.
