The advantage is that the head exhibits a considerably greater hardness than possible with single-part manufacture. This extreme hardness makes it impossible to open antitheft wheel locks with standard tools. The head’s nickel/chrome coating assures corrosion resistance and therefore an aesthetic visual appeal over many years. The locks are also fully TÜV and Thatcham approved.
