LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE DELRIN BUSHINGS!

This is it! This is the kit that you want to do a heavy-duty rebuild on your late 80's to mid 90's General Motors headlight motor.

The three replacement lifetime torque pins are made of virtually indestructible Delrin that will NEVER distort and crumble into micro-plastic bits like the originals or the cheap injection molded, and low-grade plastic bushings sold by others. This is not just a sales pitch; I have actually rebuilt hundreds of these motors over the last twelve years using this rebuild kit with ZERO failures due to the gear or Delrin bushings.  Why pay more for a kit with an inferior quality aftermarket gear or a ridiculously heavy brass gear when often the OE gear is still in good condition and better quality than all of the plastic replacements available today. The last few pictures above and below are examples of the low-quality of aftermarket gears and bushings that are being sold by others. Don't say I didn't warn you!

*NOTE: This kit does not include a new gear because quite often the original nylon gear is still in good shape and can be cleaned up and re-used as long as your motor is original and has not been previously repaired with an inferior aftermarket plastic gear kit. Deterioration of the three torque pins inside the gear is usually what causes the gear to slip on the drive shaft. I rebuild hundreds of these motors every year so I would know. Don't waste your money on a new nylon gear (that may be inferior to OEM) if you do not need it

If you do require or just prefer a kit with a new gear, I highly recommend a new lightweight CNC machined hard anodized aluminum gear kit available in my eBay store under the category for your specific application.

Each kit repairs one (1) headlight motor left or right side. If you need to repair both headlights, then please select a quantity of two (2) items.

FITS THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES:
1988-1996 Chevrolet Corvette (I have more complete repair kits for Corvette in my eBay store)
1987-1992 Pontiac Firebird and Fiero (I have a kit with a motor gasket available in my eBay store)
1988-1991 Buick Reatta
1988-2002 Lotus Esprit and Elan (also Kia Elan)
199-1992 Oldsmobile Toronado
1986-1989 Buick Skyhawk

If your headlight motor runs but does not open the headlight, opens or closes the headlight partially, or keeps running with a clunking noise after it has opened or closed then this kit is what you need. Most headlight motors fail because of the cheap plastic gear pins that GM put in these motors.  The electrical part of the motor typically does not fail.

Kit includes:
3- Precision machined lifetime warranty Delrin torque pins
1- Hard Copy of detailed instructions. Other sellers do NOT include instructions

If this kit does not solve your problem or you run into trouble you can contact me, and I will be happy to apply the cost of this kit towards my headlight motor rebuild service. NO OTHER SELLER ON EBAY CAN OFFER THIS TO YOU!

Detailed instructions are now included.

Ships same day if ordered weekdays before 12pm eastern time.

You could buy an incomplete, questionable quality, plastic gear kit from a huge retailer that sells thousands of auto parts per day and has no idea what they are selling, or you can buy this complete, well thought out gear kit from a knowledgeable, helpful car enthusiast!  I have been selling rebuilt headlight motors and these do it yourself repair kits here on eBay since 2010, longer than any of my major competitors and with much better customer service and higher feedback ratings. You CANNOT buy this high-quality kit anywhere else but here! Choose wisely my friends!

WARNING!  If you are thinking of replacing your original equipment motors with the Chinese replacement motors, then you may want to think again. The quality of these motors is very low, and most do not use stainless steel hardware, so they rust solid within a few years. The internal parts do not interchange with OEM motors. I have received these motors as core returns for my rebuild service and they typically cannot be rebuilt due to poor quality.

Thanks for looking!
