Eule (Olympiade Athen 2004) von Ottmar Hörl  

Zu den Olympischen Spielen in Athen 2004 setzte der Bildhauer Ottmar Hörl das Sprichwort „Eulen nach Athen tragen“ in die Tat um. In Sichtweite des Olympiastadions, auf dem Sportplatz der Deutschen Schule Athen, installierte er seine 10.000 in den fünf olympischen Farben in Franken produzierten Eulenplastiken – die von hier aus am Ende der Spiele in die Welt ausschwärmten. Gesponsert wurde dieses Kunstprojekt von der Daimler-Chrysler Bank. 

Das hier angebotene Exemplar stammt aus dieser ersten Auflage, es trägt im Sockel den originalen Aufdruck „ATHEN 2004“ und die Prägung „HÖRL“. Kostenlose Zugabe: Einladungskarte zur Eröffnung der Kunstinstallation.

For the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 the sculptor Ottmar Hörl put the proverb “Bring owls to Athens" into action. Within sight of the Olympic Stadium, on the sports arena of the German School Athens, he installed his 10,000 owl sculptures, produced in Franconia in the five olympic colours, which fanned out from here into the world at the end of the games. This art project was sponsored by the Daimler-Chrysler Bank.

The item offered here comes from this first edition, bearing in the base the original imprint "ATHEN 2004" and the imprint "HÖRL". Free addition: invitation card for the opening of the art installation.
