Published London, 1897

This important volume was originally published in weekly parts as
Famous Footballers and Athletes 1895/96. It was published in book form in 1897
with 224 individual photographs of association and rugby footballers,
and teams, each accompanied by a brief text. It forms a wonderful record of
Victorian football with full-page portraits of the best-known stars of the day.
