The PCA-1282 Locking Grab Hook with Latch and 3 Chain Links is an easy-to-use and practical hook. The latch prevents a chain from slipping out of the hook if tension isn't applied on the rope.
The grab hook has a 5/16" opening that will accept 1/4" or 5/16" chains. It has 3 links of 1/4" diameter chain and can attach to any 1/2" diameter or smaller rope. Use a bowline knot when attaching the hook to a rope because it provides a secure connection and can be untied if necessary.
The PCA-1282 Locking Grab Hook is great to use together with the PCA-1290 Skidding Cone, PCA-1310 Pulling Plate, PCA-1295 Choker Chain, or PCA-1372 HPPE Rope Choker (each sold separately).
