7 by 9 1/4” decorative cloth hard cover with dark brown title and design embossed over light tan, 89 pages with one full page black and white frontispiece illustration, and many inter-textual drawings throughout the pages- along with decorative capitals and chapter flourishes. Typical of literature written for older children and young adults in the Late Victorian era, the story is about a young boy who is a contemporary of Jesus in New Testament times.

 Condition of the book graded Very Good to Almost Fine. There is a little very light foxing on the front cover upper right, plus a fine script pen dedication dated Christmas 1899 inside front flyleaf on the top; the text is fresh, clean and unmarked, no musty scent. A protective acetate dust protector ( see photo #1) comes with the purchase of the book.
