A RARE DESIGN

Antique Chinese Dark Bronze Patina Jar/Vase/Urn

 Hand Crafted Art of Champlevé/Cloisonné

High quality production

Colorful & Abstract Patterns

Animal and Floral Motif Design

The exact date unknown 1900-40 could be even older.

The lid has an ornate Foo dog/lion finial with paw over ball. There is a scratch on the lid from the finial which once came lose. It has been glued to stay in place.

On the lid are three Chinese symbols for Good Fortune. This may have been a money jar to store one's wealth which is a costume in China.

The faces on the top of the lid are referred to as Taotie faces/mask motif animal like or monster that is found on old Chinese art.

Decorative and detailed dragon handles on each side are detached. There is a good amount of wear due to age.

Measurements:

The diameter of this Jar is 7 inches

Width of base: 6 inches

Each handle is 2 inches in width

Stands 14 inches tall with cover (top of finial)

Width from handle to handle: 11 inches

Weight: 7.6 pounds

Very Impressive!

Marked/Imprinted inside lid
