The exact date
unknown 1900-40 could be even older.
The lid has an
ornate Foo dog/lion finial with paw over ball. There is a scratch on the lid
from the finial which once came lose. It has been glued to stay in place.
On the lid are three
Chinese symbols for Good Fortune. This may have been a money jar to store one's
wealth which is a costume in China.
The faces on the top of the lid are
referred to as Taotie faces/mask motif animal like or monster that is found on
old Chinese art.
Decorative and
detailed dragon handles on each side are detached. There is a good amount of
wear due to age.

The diameter of this Jar is 7 inches
Width of base: 6 inches
Each handle is 2 inches in width
Stands 14 inches tall with cover (top of finial)
