* (525x17/42t  is DEFAULT setup for this listing)
  
2006-2012 Suzuki DL1000 OEM size is 525x112 X-ring chain, 17t Ft. Sprocket, 41t Rear Sprocket    
 (525x17/41t  gearing is available by REQUEST)



For QUICK ACCELERATION 16/42t gear ratio (quicker off the line, quicker roll on's, easier wheelies), 
      Request a 16t front (-1t) sprocket or 44t (+2t) rear sprocket during check out in the "Add Message to Seller" tab.
      The -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 17t with same chain.
      The +2t or +3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs shortened to go back to stock



For  MILD FREEWAY GEARING 17/41t (oem/-1t) slightly lower top gear cruising rpm's on 2002-2005 DL1000 models. (525x17/41t gearing = oem on 2006+ DL1000 models.)
       A more radical Freeway Ratio NOT available in 525 pitch chain and sprockets.
       530 Conversion is available from RPE for all DL1000 models for Higher top speed,  Lower top gear cruising rpm's ,
       and better highway gas mileage, but less responsive in low rpm's.
       (A more significant Freeway gearing change is available in the 530 pitch setup...Call or message for 530 Conversion details and pricing) 
      

       Original Factory Supplied OEM 17/42t size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, 
       and reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration.
         **525x17/42t is the DEFAULT for this listing.**   
       (Note; OEM on 2006+ DL1000 is 17/41t = MUST REQUEST.....OEM '06/12 Gearing 17/41t would be a slight Freeway ratio on a '02/05 model)


* A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. but opposite effects.
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)
