POSTCARD SUBJECT:  SILVER LAKE FERRY.  This NICE postcard offers a chrome view of Silver Lake ferry, which operated between Cedar Island, North Carolina, and Ocracoke Island, North Carolina!  This image dates to 1967.  A nice addition to your roadside North Carolina postcard collection!

DESCRIPTION [printed on back]:  "THE OUTER BANKS OF NORTH CAROLINA / 'Silver Lake Ferry,' coming into Ocracoke, N.C. from Cedar Island, N.C. This ferry was built for 30 automobiles and approximately 300 passengers.  It takes approximately 2 1/2 to 2 hours 45 minutes to cross in this ferry."

CONDITION: VERY GOOD to NEAR MINT. Postally unused postcard.  Light corner and edge bumping.  Light surface soiling on front.  No writing, rips, tears, foxing or age toning.
