This 1930s Art Deco electric heater was made by the Swartzbaugh Mfg Co. of Toledo, Ohio. It is labeled the “Everhot Ray Vector” (see photo of logo in center of heater). It is made of corrugated copper sheet (reflector body & coil flap cover), press-molded thin sheet iron (body), and rolled heavy iron (safety grill & nickel-coated carrying handle) with press-molded sheet iron legs. The body was stripped down to bare metal and soaked overnight in RustOff before restoration with High Heat Rustoleum metallic copper paint (heater body, switch bar, and flap adjuster bar) & High Heat Rustoleum black paint and gold for the press-molded very thin sheet iron straps. The heater is 15” wide, 15” tall & 9” deep. Rewired with a heavy duty, electrical appliance cord & plug, It does work (photo shows both wire coils glowing) using the bar switch on the left bottom side ('off '& 'on' in raised letters on bottom left of gold strap). Weight is 7 3/4 lbs.
