Vtge EARLY Superb & RARE - ONOTO MAMMOTH Fountain Pen - 1924 - UK - GF Trim

Mottled - Fine Nib - Restored - Case/Inst - Outstanding


This very rare Onoto Mammoth plunger fill fountain Pen was manufactured around the mid 1920 in the UK.

This pen is in outstanding condition, it must have sat in the dark for nearly 100 years. 

No repairs, chips, splits scratches or other blemishes.

Mottled vulcanite (hard rubber) has not faded or discoloured 

In superb condition, no dings, dents or scratches.

A large chunky pen  that measures just over 5 3/4 inches. See picture 8 for comparison to a big red senior.

Fully working serviced / restored.

Nib. Huge platinum plated gold nib marked - De La Rue - Onoto - London - . Writes a fine.

Barrel. Mottled vulcanite - Imprint (a little weak) Onoto the Pen - De La Rue & co Ltd  Free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks. 

Cap. Push fit cap manufactured with out cap bands, gold fill patent clips. Again in superb blemish free condition.

Comes in case with instructions.

Restoration.  The pen has been disassembled ultra sonically cleaned, all parts checked, reassembled , new seals, washer and hand polished.  

Overall. This is a very rare in outstanding condition Onoto Mammoth that should be in an Onoto collection.

Postage. This will be "signed for" this does give an element of insurance and control.
