The seven summits are the highest mountains on each of the seven continents as well as the subject of a new amazing series of 5 oz silver coins displaying the peaks in topographic detail from an unusual bird’s eye perspective. The first coin of the series shows Denali in Alaska on a 5 oz silver 999 piece struck in proof quality with topographic smartminting relief. The coin comes housed in an impressive packaging; the worldwide mintage is limited to 777 pieces.

The traditional obverse of the Cook Islands coin features the portrait of Her Majesty Elizabeth II surrounded by the inscriptions: the Queen’s name, the face value of the coin, its issuing country and year.

The reverse shows Denali in Alaska which only bears its original Athabaskan name again since 2015 after it was called Mount McKinley for nearly 100 years. It’s the third highest of the Seven Summits, following Mount Everest in Nepal and Aconcagua in Argentina. With its 6190 metres, «The Big One» is the highest mountain in North America. Denali is part of the Alaska Range and the centerpiece of Denali National Park.
