This DC/DC converter is weather resistant. Which means that it will
resist hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and rain (as long as its not
submerged in water). These are regulated switching
power converters (switchmode), designed to allow the use
of 5 volt equipment in 12V or 24V vehicles. These 5V output converters
have been designed to be very rugged electrically and can
be operated continuously at 75°C (65°C for the 5A
version).
These are also known as 5 volt voltage reducers, and voltage regulators.
Custom output voltages are
available from 3.3VDC to the input voltage minus 1.5 volts (10.5VDC for a 12 volt input, 22.5 for a 24 volt input)
