iTronix Laptop GoBook Windows 2000 Pro SP4 850 mHz 40 gb 512 mb Lit keyboard Vintage
This one is Windows 2000 Pro SP4. Processor is Intel Celeron 850 mHz. Hard drive is 40 gb. There are two 512 mb chips (total of 1 gb) of ram installed. However the laptop is only "seeing" 512 mb, so I'll say its 512 mb of ram. All of the device drivers are present.

The cmos/clock battery needs replacement which is very easy to do. I put instructions for this later in this description. I'd have changed it myself, but its a different size than the GoBooks II and III...so I dont have new ones of these. There is not a service battery in this laptop. There IS a cd rom drive installed. The keyboard does light up, although seemingly not as brightly as the GoBooks II and III do. Press FN and the left shift key at the same time to light the keyboard.

Clock battery instructions: The clock/cmos battery in this laptop is very easy to replace. All you need is a small enough set of screwdrivers and a new Maxell CR2032 button cell battery. Then do this. Remove the two screws holding on the smallest panel on the base. Remove that panel to reveal the small button cell battery within. With one of your small flat blade screwdrivers, gently pop out the old battery that is already there. Take your new Maxell CR2032 button cell battery. Pop the new battery into the socket from which you removed the old one. Replace the panel. Retighten the two screws. That is it! Your mission is complete!

This is more or less in 'as found' condition. I've done some amount of cleaning to it, the rest of that will be up to you. A charger is not included, but you can pick up a charger for it here on ebay for about $8. More info on that is below.

I have spent some amount of time testing this out. In case I missed anything, I am just going to make this an 'as is offering'.  Please take it as it is, without complaint, if you take it at all. Thanks, folks. May good fortune be with you.

You can get the charger for this laptop for $8.09 here on eBay from a seller called "silicon_electronic". The item title for the listing is "19V AC ADAPTER CHARGER FOR ITRONIX GoBook II GoBook III LAPTOP POWER SUPPLY CORD".
