WELCOME to our auction for a pretty Antique hallmarked sterling silver box. The inside is useful for trinkets/jewellery and the padded lid will support hat pins of dressmaking pins. An interesting shape with a serpentine front the impressed design features scrolls, flowers and foliage. Great gift!

DIMENSIONS : Approx 2.25"(5.6cms) tall x 4.5" x 3.25"(11.4cms x 8.2cms) other dimensions  

MARKS         : Birmingham anchor-lion passant -date letter "d" for 1903 and makers initial "AG&?S" that I believe is for AE Goodby & Son

CONDITION   : The lid covering is worn and the cushion padding solid and lumpy. Inside the box the material is worn and a little shabby from age and use with no covering on the base. Underneath the material lining is very shredded. The silver seems fine although the join front left is visible. A nice example that is unusual and very pre loved -Please see images provided as I may have missed something.
