From an Old Radio Service Workshop:-

Vintage Radio Dial Drive Cord - 3m x 0.6mm x 2 lengths

As used in many Radios from the 1940's through to today

This is genuine NEW OLD STOCK - in perfect condition just like the day it was made.

You get TWO pieces, each a minimum of 3 metres (some 10ft - 120 inches in imperial measurements), which is much more than needed to do any radio of any period.

The old radios didn't use nylon (mainly because nylon pre 1950 hadn't been invented, and then when it was, it was seriously crap.  So you get a 3 metre length of genuine TWISTED LINEN CORD (just like the old radio's used), approximately 0.6mm diameter.  Spool colours vary, you might receive white, off-white or greyish.

As nylon improved, manufacturers of more modern sets (from about 1965) started to use it more and more.  It was still crap, but after it was braded and woven it had better gripping properties, until the latest versions were also coated giving it far better grip.  So you ALSO get a 3m length of BRADED and COATED NYLON.

Here you get both (NYLON and LINEN - 3m of each - 6m in total) and you decide which one you prefer.

You get it bagged as a loose spool.  Sellers that wind it around some flat cardboard and then post it to you don't realise that you can impart a permanent kink into some of the inferior materials which you can then 'feel' as you tune when it goes across pulleys and wheels.
