Are you familiar with Indian sarees ? They are quite amazing in that they have selvage borders and then a large border at one end that ends the panel. I used this large border for jacket fronts or sleeves or dress bodices. Take a little planning but the end results are spectacular !

A gorgeous rich pure silk sari from India that is most unusual ! It is 1/2 a rich deep burgundy red & then becomes a rich emerald green !!! Has a vertical large gold border at both ends on the “Palla” section it is made to wear draped over the shoulder at both ends ! So you can change to either color ! Cut it up & make 2 jackets out of it !

The first thing about buying fabric online is that all monitors distort color. I try to describe colors as best I can, but you may be much more sensitive & see subtle nuances & shades that I do not.
If you are blessed with a discerning eye and if the exact shade is important it is best to buy a swatch or buy from a neighborhood store and not online. You won't be disappointed & they'll appreciate the business !

If you would like fabric swatch please e-mail me.There is a $5 charge per fabric swatch. My swatches are about 1.5 inches to 2.5 inches in size. My fabrics are single cuts & I can't cut large chunks out of them as it causes problems for the person sewing. I will apply the $5 towards the purchase of that fabric.
