There have been a small number of buyers who have bought this ghost box and then when received it have decided it is not what they wanted or have claimed for the reason to return it, that it is not as described, please read the description FULLY and watch the video demonstration at the foot of this selling page. Anyone who sends messages to ebay saying that the item is not as described or is not a 'ghost box' after they receive it as their reason for requesting a refund, will not get a refund. I will be happy to refund anyone with a genuine reason. I have informed ebay about this situation with some buyers and they are fully aware. If you don't like the look of this ghost box in the video (you will receive one exactly like it and it will work exactly as in the video), then please do not waste your own time and do not buy it. It is, thankfully, just a very few who are trying to spoil this for their own reasons.
DESCRIPTION
I have hacked this radio with the intention that you will be able to afford a new ghost box radio at a fraction of the price that used hacked radios cost. The ghost box comes in white and grey , but I am unable to state which colour you will receive. In most cases it will be a grey one as in the video. Both ghost box radios are identical in every other aspect than colour of the case.
This brand new pocket sized FM radio has been hacked so that it continuously sweeps through the FM frequencies between 60 to 180 MHz using DSP (Digital Software Processing) to bring through clear signals and audio that is easy to hear and understand. The sweep is at mid-range so you will hear one or two words /sounds at each stop along the sweep.
Other hacked radios out there at twice the price and more, do not use DSP and have a continuous background static sound under the messages. Some people like this and some don't. All ghost boxes are valid, as they essentially use the same principle to bring through snippets of audio which spirit can manipulate. Think of it this way, dowsing uses different tools like the pendulum and the dowsing rods for example. Both bring forth the same kind of results in the information they allow to happen. They act and look very different, but essentially they do the same job. However, with this digital hack, the sound snippets come through more clearly and frequently.
The radio runs on two AAA batteries and has a long life, so ideal for taking on ghost hunts.
It can be played through headphones included (the radio uses the headphones cable as an antenna) or you can connect it to an external amplifier or ghost box speaker using a 3.5mm audio cable. There is no internal speaker in the radio. * See the video on this page - it shows the ghost box being used with an amplifier and small antenna. The small 'guitar' amplifier is available on ebay and can be carried with the ghost box at haunted locations.
As well as an internal adjustment to the circuitry, the unit has a simple on/off switch added and sweeps through all frequencies until you turn it off and I have changed resistor paths inside the unit to allow the unmuted sweep to happen. Full printed Instructions, headphones and a lanyard come with the radio -ghost box.
