This is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days, PAM00422. It has a rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle. With a case diameter of 47mm, the steel alloy used is AISI 316L stainless. The three-body case, bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. There is a black sandwich dial with luminous hands, four large radial Arabic numeral hour markers, and stick baton indexes. It has a sapphire crystal and a sapphire display case back with anti-reflective coatings, and a patented completely protected crown, with a seconds reset. The "sandwich dial is an original Panerai invention, with a luminous substance painted to a disc on which is overlaid by another dial with the appropriate cut-outs. There is a subsidiary small seconds dial at 9 o'clock, and the three-day power reserve indicator is displayed through the sapphire display back. It's water resistant to 100 meters, and the case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The Panerai manual winding Caliber P 3001 movement is constructed with 21 jewels and it uses two spring barrels connected in series. It has 207 components, an Incabloc anti-shock device, a Glucydur monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and the mechanism oscillates at 21,600 vph (3 Hz). It includes a balance wheel variable inertia, which allows the rate of the watch to be adjusted with external screws on the rim.

The large, P.3001 caliber has its origins from the historic 1950 Panerai models, very similar to the three-quarter-plate movement. It has two bridges that covers the majority of the mechanical parts, and is fixed to the bottom plate by a series of screws that form a sturdy, rigid structure. This watch is a limited edition of only 1500 examples.
