High quality 316L Stainless Steel Spring Bars

Each listing is for a pair of 2x springbars (1 pair)
2/5 pairs at special price offered occasionally!!

Will fit a variety of straps from different manufacturers that accept such type of springbars

Straps fitted with these bars make it very easy to change straps on watches on the fly, whilst at the same time protecting your watch from the inevitable marks from frequently changing between different straps

Available in sizes from 12mm to 24mm with thickness of 1.50 mm
(please note that the 22mm& 24mm bars are slightly thicker, 1.70mm)

Quality bars, made  from the  best quality 316L stainless steel material available
to ensure the watch stays on your wrist!
Beware of the recent market flooding with cheap bars from China. I have asked for samples from a few China-based dealers via Alibaba, mostly out of curiosity due to the low-low price they were selling these, and ALL (4 samples I got) were of low quality, poorly finished steel?? with  a weak, often rusty spring inside that becomes dangerously loose if compressed few good times. With a quick-release type of bar, it's even more important than a regular bar to be of good quality, otherwise you can easily lose your watch so not worth a few ££ saving!

If you are fitting these spring-bars to regular straps, without the special holes already made, please make sure to follow the guidelines below.

GUIDELINE ON HOW TO INSTALL QUICK-RELEASE BARS TO STANDARD STRAPS
Please use this guide at your own risk! I cannot be held liable for any damage due to use of these instructions. If you are not sure , or if you are trying to modify an expensive strap, better stop now and go to a watch shop, they should be able to do it for you for a small fee. Better safe than sorry!

  - These springbars should ONLY be installed in leather watchstraps. Do not try to install quick release spring bars in rubber or silicone watchstraps.
They do not have the same kind of structure as leather and the necessary cuts on the back of the strap might continue through to the end of the strap and the strap could be ruined.

- Work slowly, with patience, to not damage the strap in the process

- First widen the hole in the side of the strap (where the springbar goes), at the side where you intend to insert the quick release tab. Use an awl or similar conical shape metal or plastic piece, even skewer sticks should be good. Do not press too hard.

- Next step insert a toothpick or similar thin wooden piece inside the strap hole, this will prevent from cutting thru both sides of the strap

- Using only a very sharp& thin cutter or X-acto knife make a small incision, starting 2-3mm from the end of the strap and about 4-6mm long depending on width of strap, enough for the quick release tab to fit in. Use a marker of felt pen to mark the strap before cutting, to make it easier

- Remove the toothpick and Gently insert the quick release bars, thru the side which was widened earlier. Twist and bend the strap gently as you insert the bar to prevent damage.

- When done, the tab on the spring bar should just poke through the slit you made.Repeat this for the other end of the strap.

TOOLS NEEDED:
1. VERY SHARP knife/blade, preferably a small cutter or X-acto knife with a small tip to prevent damage or hurting yourself
2. An awl or a similar piece of wood/plastic, for widening the end hole of the strap
3. Wooden Toothpick(s) , for inserting in the strap hole when cutting the slit for inserting the quick-release bar

IMPORTANT NOTE ON OUTBREAK SITUATION AND SUBSEQUENT DELIVERY DELAYS

Dear buyer
Kindly note that the delivery estimates given by eBay when ordering during these challenging times we are facing with the  outbreak are NOT reflecting the long delays that might occur according to my own experience, they did not consider/change this at all, probably on purpose to retain their revenues intact, so please be prepared for delays of 2 to 6-8 weeks beyond what you see as "delivery estimate", especially if you are outside of Europe. Countries& regions most affected as I can see are:
South America (most countries) ,
Australia ,
New Zealand, U.K. , Ireland, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico

Thank your for understanding& stay safe!
