411L is a Lithium replacement for the Carbon Zinc battery that was commonly used in AVO meters, Simpson 260, Triplett 625 and other vintage
electrical test equipment and some antique transistor radios.
Being Lithium, the 411L replacement will last longer than the original carbon zinc and 411A Alkaline clones.
It is widely used in vintage collectible transistor radios and in the early model 8 AVO meters, such as the Mk III AVO meter
THIS IS NOT AN OEM ORIGINAL FIT BATTERY. Look at the pictures carefully. You will have to
press this Battery into the battery compartment of the Simpson 260. These are Simpson VOM's
prior to Model 1 260 Simpson. They used Eveready 417 zinc carbon battery. No need to make
a battery converter to a smaller 15 volt Alkaline battery. May also fit Triplett: 625-NA Volt-Ohm-Milliammeter,
early model 8 AVO meters (M III). In fact. Nearly any gadget requiring a 15v up 220mAh portable power source
can use this. If it fits in the case.
You will have to solder two wires. If your original battery looks similar to the Eveready
zinc carbon photo. It will very likely fit into the Battery Compartment of your Meter Vom
even if it is not an Early Simpson 260. I only own a Vintage Simpson 260.
I manufacture this Battery. The red battery with wires is what you are buying.
The original is shown as comparison. It is NOT PLUG and PLAY !
