Technical Details: King Kw-65
Size: 185 x 63 x 25mm
Form: combination stone
Cut: 1000/6000 grit
Holder: plastic, rubber foot
- King Japanese sharpening stones are manufactured by
Matsunaga in Osaka, the oldest maker of Japanese waterstones.
- King stones are relatively soft and thus
have a comfortable feel in use, because one can see and feel the stone cutting the
edge. Therefore, these types of stones must be resurfaced relatively often as a
hollow develops in use.
- Since King stones are relatively soft, sharpening can be
done very quickly as grains readily release from the surface of the stone. Full
restoration of an edge can be achieved in a matter of minutes.
- Made in Japan
N.B. New models of this stone are no longer stamped with 'Made in Japan' but are still made in Japan.
