This is a very old rug that has been around a long time. I believe it is probably Persian and over 100 years old. It is a prayer rug, with a central medallion. It is hand knotted from wool. It measures 20 inches wide by 35 inches long. It has some script in the middle. 

PLEASE BE ADVISED: this is a very worn old rug, used by several generations of my family. It has mostly been in houses with dogs. It probably originally had some fringe, but vacuuming over the years have taken that off. It does represent a long history and these things wear like iron.
