These vintage eye glasses are made of what I believe to be aluminum and prescription lenses. They are marked: American Optical Aluma 4 1/2 - 5 1/2. Eyeglasses have wear and damage. There are scratches and dings on the metal frames, degradation of the plastic on the arms and nose pieces. The nose pieces will need to be replaced (one is broken) and the hardware holding them on has corrosion. The bridge is marked gold filled but I think most of the gold has worn away as the bridge appears more silver. There is also some dirt and verdigris on the non aluminum hardware of the frames. The lenses have scratches and a chip. There's a spot on the back of the frame (see last photo) that is either damage or repaired damage. It looks like there are a few scratches and a place where the thin edge of the metal has bent a bit.
