This Bluetooth adapter attaches to, and is powered by, the 30 pin connector on the Bose Series 2 II. With this adapter you can stream your Echo Dot or Input audio or audio from any Bluetooth device through your Bose Series 2 II. 

With this adapter you can connect/pair your Alexa echo to the Bose Sounddock using the Alexa App. Once connected to this Bluetooth adapter (mounted on the 30 pin dock) it, importantly, maintains "pairing"with the Amazon Echo, ensuring the Bose Sounddock is ready to respond for Alexa. If, for any reason, connection is interrupted, it can be re-connected by telling Alexa to "Connect".

Note: This adapter has been fully tested on a working Bose Series 2 II speaker dock and Amazon Echo Dot.
