DESCRIPTION - This is a very fine molding plane with some interesting stamps. The maker was D Malloch of Perth. There is also the stamp of J Dobie 205 Argyle St who was a tool distributor in Scotland. The plane is from a collection that was used for furniture repair and restoration. It has been well taken care of - metal and wood surfaces had been cleaned but not overly restored. Can still be used or would make a great display item. My expertise on these tools is pretty thin, so if I've named/described it incorrectly, please let me know.
