Collected together for the first time, in digital format on a unique DVD-Rom, we are pleased to present a rare selection of 65 vintage books on the subject of Bookbinding. Published largely, in the late 19th / early 20th century, these rare texts cover a diverse range of subject matter including for example; the history and development of bookbinding, practical manuals of instruction, bookbinding in different countries, book production and many 100's of examples of binding design. Plus also included on the disc are 291 high resolution JPEG page images from the classic French series La Reliure du XIXe Siècle, see below for more information and examples.

In addition to the 4 volume PDFs of this French book series, also provided are all of the illustrated page images from these volumes in high resolution JPEG format. Each image features on bookbinding and has dimensions of approximately 1900 x 2990 pixels with a resolution of 300dpi. 291 images in total.

This is a data DVD for computer use only (requires computer with DVD-Rom disc drive). It WILL NOT WORK in a CD-Rom drive, an audio CD player or the DVD player connected to your TV.
