This is a unique build of the LEGO Ultimate Collector's Series Millennium Falcon 10179 model. It is not the original boxed model, but is very, very, very close indeed.

This model was built by myself as a hobby project and labor of love. It was assembled brick-by-brick following the official plans, buying bricks individually and second-hand. I then modified the model to add more detail to it. I am selling it because it has been sitting on my desk for a while and, frankly, I've had my fun with with and I hope you can have fun too! I would love for a Star Wars and LEGO fan to buy it and modify it further.

I downloaded the instructions for the model from Lego.com here https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/search?initialsearch=10179#?text=10179 and made up a list of bricks I would need and then bought the bricks second hand, from brick suppliers, eBay, and obtained them from other models. I then assembled the model, making additions and changes as I went. The unique features I added (which you can see on the photographs) were;
  • Interior detail of lounge / cargo hold with the cream banquette and holochess board. The "old" Han Solo model from The Force Awakens is seated there.
  • Interior detail of a large rear cargo bay with hyperdrive and shield detailing. Chewbacca and an R2D2 figure are seen there.
  • Modification of the gunnery "tunnel" so it goes through the whole model, allowing you to see from the top to the bottom. Finn is seated in the gunner's seat.
  • Figures of Rey and BB8 in the cockpit, with improved detailing on the console.
  • Addition of a "weapons cache" where various Star Wars weapons (including a blue lightsaber for Rey) can be stored.
  • Moved the rear legs backwards to give more distance between them.
With the exception of the grey "rigging" components used for the engine (which are 3d-printed components I purchased) and possibly the R2D2 figure (it came off a pen, of all things, which had several bricks on it - it is LEGO compatible but I do not know if it is official LEGO) every brick here is an official, actual LEGO brick.

I initially purchased every single brick I would need for the "stock" 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon. There are some cosmetic variations because of difficulty getting exactly the right bricks;
  • A number of interior components (not visible) are the "wrong" color. This includes some of the framing members, which are lighter grey rather than darker gray.
  • The rods used for the 8 gun barrels are slightly shorter than the stock design calls for (variant brick).
  • The "aerials" all over the model have light gray bases and black stems, rather than all light gray on the stock model.
  • Most of the 2-stud long "tubes" are the slotted version, NOT the unslotted version officially called for.
  • The radar dish is not the unique printed component from the original model but a plain dark grey one.
All of the bricks are in excellent condition. I have used polystyrene cement to fuse some of the dark-grey "binoculars" to the bricks they are attached to, because they kept falling off. The rest of the bricks are not glued together or otherwise modified.

This model has been sitting on my desk for about two years. It is offered "as is" - it is very likely you could not build the stock 10179 from this lot because I removed, added and changed bricks when I made the modifications. You will be able to build more than that, however, because I have made the additions to it. This model will reward a LEGO collector looking for something fun and unique.

I will ship this carefully packaged in a suitable box. I will ship it as assembled as I can - I will take the panels and other sections off so it packs easier, but I will not break it down into a pile of bricks! Obviously, there may be disassembly caused by the shipping process but I will pack it as carefully as I can using bubble wrap, a solid box, etc. etc.

This model is offered "as is" - if you want more pictures, please ask. If you have specific questions, please ask. I will do my very best to answer them / provide pictures and descriptions.

Thanks for reading - and may the Force be with you!
