Bawo & Dotter Limoges Pink & Yellow Rose & Heavily Gilded Plate Circa 1900

Beautiful porcelain luncheon plate decorated with pink and yellow roses. With relief molded beading along the edge of the plate with gold gilding. Also has an elaborate Art Nouveau style gold gilt flora, lattice / net , arch, and scrollwork design.  Marked on the reverse Elite L France in green. This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Bawo & Dotter in Limoges France around 1900. Also marked Limoges France in red with three fleur de lis above. I believe this is an overglaze decorating mark used by Bawo & Dotter around the same time period, though it is not listed in either of my books on Limoges porcelain.

Has a lot of wear to the gilding, but it is still a very visually stunning plate with no chips or cracks.

Measures 8 5/8" wide.

This is an antique and may small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.
