The 940-1 factory Axis lock is not titanium.
Upgrade the standard axis lock to an ANODIZED BRONZE Rust Proof Titanium Axis Lock.
Not only do they look great but they are also lighter than the factory standard version.
This Custom Titanium Axis Lock is a direct replacement for the Benchmade 940 Series Knives.

Benchmade 940-1 knife. Consisting of 1 x BRONZE Anodized part in total.
THE BENCHMADE AXIS LOCKING SYSTEM IS QUITE FIDDLY TO TAKE APART AND RE-INSTALL. THERE ARE 2 WIRE SPRINGS HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER. SO BE
CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE THERE WILL ALSO BE A SLIGHT COMPROMISE IN BLADE OPENING SMOOTHNESS FROM THE BY PURCHASING THIS ITEM YOU ARE AWARE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED AND THAT DAMAGE IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT IN TAKING APART AND PUTTING YOUR
KNIFE BACK TOGETHER (OR IF ANYTHING ELSE GOES WRONG), IT IS BEST NOT TO BUY THIS
ITEM.

TITANIUM PART RUBBING ON THE BLADE TANG AREA. POSSIBLY LUBE OR POLISHING THE
TANG CAN HELP. THE AXIS LOCK BAR COMES ALREADY POLISHED TO A SMOOTH SURFACE.
OR THE
POTENTIAL FOR MISSING PARTS COULD OCCUR AS A RESULT OF TAKING OUT THE
ORIGINAL AXIS LOCK BAR. YOU ALONE WILL BE TAKING FULL RESPONSIBLY FOR ANY SUCH

Anodized Titanium Cleaning Tip:
To maintain the look of your new titanium parts.
Gently wipe clean with some Acetone but at the same time
be careful NOT to get Acetone on any G10 or Carbon knife scales.
