Up for bids is a vintage Leica MR light meter, serial #16275 (circa 1960's). This meter is meant for M3 and M2 bodies. This light meter has been in my family since new -- my uncle was a professional photographer and used this meter atop his Leica M3 camera (his M3 camera body and other items are offered in my other current auctions).
This meter could best be described as a 'fixer-upper'. Cosmetically it's pretty nice -- there are some bright marks here and there as well as some light scratches throughout. Overall, however, it's cosmetically pretty clean for its age.
The 'fixer-upper' part of this meter is its missing battery cover door. Consequently, I can't tell whether this meter works or not. It may possibly work without the door (maybe some tape to hold the battery in?), but I can't guarantee it. So this meter is sold completely as-is and returns will not be accepted.
