When Dell printers time out, there is no warning: It hits the number, and simply stops. Completely. This option enables you to reset the timing mechanism in the cartridge. These are the full set of high-volume (8k) toner reset chips for the Dell 3110, 3115 laser printer. One for each of three colors, plus black. Preferred method of installation:

1. Remove the cartridge

2. Pop out the old chip, pop in the new.

3. It's recommended to replace toner at this time as well (not sold under this offer), as low toner may harm the machine.

4. With the cartridge still OUT, close the door and restart the machine. After it shows the message for cartridge out, then reopen the door and replace the cartridge. (Don't turn off the power during the installation.) 

As you can see above, toner is recommended, which I don't sell, and you may acquire in many other places. But this chip will get you back up and running quickly, for a fresh 8,000 sheet cycle.
