  • This rack mount has a speaker on the panel next to the radio... The speaker we use is the same one as MFJ sells as the model 281 "Clear Voice" speaker.
  • Icom powers the IC-740 two different ways - the optional Icom PS-740 can be added inside, or the Icom PS15 stand-alone power supply can be used outside. Both are 20 amps and intermittent duty.  If the optional internal supply is not present then we offer an optional 20 amp continuous duty supply (110vAC only) or a 30 amp continuous duty (110/220v switchable).  Both are cheaper than either of the Icom supplies and since ours mount right behind the speaker it does not take up any rack space.
  • The aluminum tray behind the rack panel is 13" deep.
