Mint condition. Lens is clear and clean, does not have any dust, fungus, scratches. Blades are dry and clean. Filters are original.
This is a wide-angle lens with multi-layered anti-reflection coating for SLR cameras with M42 mount.
This lens was
based on German Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 2.8/20. In USSR it was produced at
KMZ (Krasnogorsk), "Progress" (Nejin) and "Arsenal" (Kiev)
in 1973-1996 with one-layered or multilayered antireflection coating with many
possible mounts:
- M42 (Mir-20M, MC
Mir-20M),
- Pentax K (MC
Mir-20K, few lenses done in 1992),
- Nikon F (MC
Mir-20H),
- special bayonet
for Kiev-10/15 (Mir-20 Automat).
Since 2012 KMZ
started production again with M42 mount in small lots.
Mir-20 with mounts
M42 and Pentax K can use filters from the back side only and have limit of
aperturing 1:16. Lenses with Nikon F mount and special bayonet can use filters
from front side and limit of aperturing 1:22.
Lens is extremely
sharp with any aperture meaning in the center and rather sharp at the edges.
Geometric distorsions are absent. Colour reproduction is bright, with gradient
to warm colours. Lenses with one-layered anti-reflection coating do not like
contre-jour light, multilayered - tolerant to it.
Lens has minimal
distance of focusing - only 18 cm! (But the original CZJ Flektogon - only 16
cm).
Its price was 250
Soviet roubles for Automat version and 375 Soviet Roubles for Nikon version in
1980-s with average salary 120 Soviet Roubles per month, so it was very
expensive.
When mounted on cropped Nikon APS-C it will have focal distance 30mm, on Canon APS-C 32mm.
Lens has a jumping diaphragm and switch "A-M" for turning it on/off.
Filters UV-1x (ultraviolet), O-2.8x (orange), YG-2x (yellow-green) in original box are included.
