This is firmware version 5 and is the latest known official released operation system by Roland. This operation system update/upgrade requires one eprom chip as revealed in the eBay article`s photos and the chip will be labeled to help you locate the correct chip socket. Improvements:

• Fixed - Sometimes MPG-80 send out edited data thought none of the panel controls are being reset. The issue is due to noise induced on the A/D circuitry.
• Minor stability fixes.

• Fully tested before shipping and professionally packaged in anti-static material
• Roland MPG-80 is not included, only this update/upgrade.
• The IC socket is located at IC 9
