Alternator Conversion Kit for cars with C42 Generator and Negative Ground.

This is a alternator conversion for the C42 Generator as fitted to many vehicles including the above mentioned Jaguars. This unit is a direct replacement for the famous Lucas C42 Generator (Dynamo) with negative ground. The unit comes complete with cooling fan and 63mm diameter pulley suitable for 10mm wide belt. For use with the W grooved double belt fitted to some Jaguar models you need to use your original pulley on the new unit as the shaft sizes are the same.

Made to keep the classic appearance by building an aluminum generator casing and incorporating a powerful 50 amp DENSO race alternator inside the housing. Careful attention to detail such as dummy field coil screws and authentic front and back plate brackets making this alternator virtually indistinguishable from the original Lucas generator. Easy installation by using the original wires already in place, * Some wiring changes are necessary. This Alternator is identical in fitting to original units, requiring no brackets or modifications to the vehicle.

The 50 amp DENSO race alternator housed inside the Aluminum light weight housing is internally cooled and self regulated. You will more than likely double the output of the original unit in most cases. We also offer this conversion for +ve (positive) ground vehicles.
