Note:
In order to use this accessory, the ALPINE user manual must indicate Aux. input option using a KCE-236B adapter.

You need to select "Aux+" from your headunit's Setup Menu to disable Full Speed for iPod and enable Full speed Aux-in. If you are not sure how, please refer to your radio user manual.
