"Women in History" Block of the Month Quilt Kit Including Book by Barbara Brackman "Women of Design: Quilts in the Newspaper"

This 'Kansas City Star' Block-of-the-Month quilt pays homage to earlier quilt patterns and the women-and one man-who designed them. This year's project is fun, exciting and informative. Barbara Brackman, author and quilt historian, who produced one popular Prairie Flower quilt project is back with her new series published in 'The Kansas City Star' Sunday magazine. Barbara presents new patterns in the style of the originals published in 'The Star' and other regional newspapers between 1928 and 1961, and tells us what was special about each of these designers.
