This sterling silver chatelaine was already an antique when my mother received it as a gift for getting her masters of public health at Johns Hopkins in the late 1960's. From our research, it appears that the link pin is suffragette style and the hanging implements are a boot hook, a bottle, a cylindrical container, a mechanical pencil and a book mark but those guesses may not be right. All implements are full size. A kind and knowledgeable eBayer --shout out to Melissa!-- wrote us to say that the 2nd implement looks to be a very old Shiebler piece and the book mark appears to have Whitings mark on it. Approximate measurements: 2 3/4" w x 6.5" at its longest.

Superb vintage condition! Lovely patina; shine or not as you wish. We show pictures with and without flash. Chatelaines are very rare and there is simply nothing remotely like this piece! A great find!
